Create at NEST is a non profit Social Enterprise run in partnership by Rachel Bower and Tracie Dick.
Our aim is to provide affordable creative space for working, teaching or meetings for the local community. Our open plan facilities encourage collaboration and inspiration within a supportive, friendly and social environment.
NEST came about when Rachel was looking for new studio premises, having outgrown her kitchen and sheds. Tracie was looking for an alternative career after redundancy.
The original plan for NEST has evolved from feedback and ideas from our visitors, plus the large footfall past the window inspired us to have our our own wee shop and to rent out a window for local makers to promote and sell their work.
We have created a Craft Remnant Shop on the first floor selling everything from fabric to picture frames, wool to card making supplies and so much more! And we are always looking for donations and volunteers to help out.
There are 4 kilns on site belonging to Rachel Bower, who provides on site kiln technician services to anyone wishing to fire their work, just contact us for further details.
NEST always welcomes visitors for workshops, to browse our gift shop and craft remnant shop or just to have a look around. The kettle is always on!
